No members of the public were in attendance Tuesday when a hearing was held regarding a request made by the Frontier House owners for a payment in lieu of taxes from the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency. NCIDA Assistant Director Andrea Klyczek closed the meeting just two minutes after making her introductory remarks.

In between campouts, games and inspirational events, the mostly teenage crowd will be stirred up by some of the top names in Christian music. Two consecutive summers where large gatherings were frowned upon, if not prohibited, made it impossible for Kingdom Bound Ministries to hold its annual four-day festival at Darien Lake. But with all COVID-19 restrictions lifted, and concert and event attendance rising - particularly outdoors - Kingdom Bound is a full-go, this weekend, for the first time since 2019.

Fairy House Festival fills Artpark with family fun

Artpark & Company hosted the 12th annual Fairy House Festival last Saturday in Lewiston. Popular with both young and young-at-heart, the event has evolved from an art walk of miniature fairy houses installed by local and professional artists to an international, interdisciplinary and immersive performing arts festival with European street theater groups, modern dance, music and intricately costumed fairy performers.
Village of Lewiston cuts ribbon on new playground

The Village of Lewiston celebrated its new inclusive playground Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Marilyn Toohey Park behind the Red Brick Municipal Building. Since the site opened earlier this summer, it has been a popular location for families with small children. The splash pad has been particularly busy.
