Leonard E. Egede, M.D., (pronounced E-getty) chief of the division of internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and director of its Center for Advancing Population Science, has been appointed chair of the department of medicine in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.

Stella Niagara Education Park, a coeducational elementary school in Lewiston, donated over 200 books valued at $1,933 to Damar Hamlin's Chasing M's Foundation. The school raised the money to purchase the books through a coin drive for Scholastic's "All for Books" program during the annual book fair.
