ABC announces this season's 'Dancing with the Stars'

This season's "Dancing with the Stars" cast of celebrity dancers includes a fashion icon, a YouTube sensation, a NASCAR legend, and a movie star, to name a few. The stars will grace the ballroom floor for the first time on live national television with their professional partners during the two-hour season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars."
'Frozen' fun at Artpark

The Lewiston Kiwanis Club presented Artpark's seventh annual Free Family Movie Night Monday. Disney's "Frozen" was presented to hundreds of families at the outdoor amphitheater. "Frozen" movie friends Olaf, Elsa and Anna were on hand to greet the children. The Peach Queen contestants also made a special appearance at the event.
HARBORCENTER unveils retail plan

TNT has landed network television rights to the global blockbuster "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent" movie franchises in a sweeping deal with Lionsgate. TNT's acquisition includes the network premiere windows for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," which opens in theaters this November, and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," set for theatrical release in November 2015. The deal also includes network premiere windows for "Divergent."

Springfield celebrates 'The Simpsons' 25th anniversary with a special mural

The City of Springfield, Oregon, is partnering with "The Simpsons" to bring the first family of television to its downtown walk of murals.

Sanctioned by "The Simpsons" creator and Oregonian Matt Groening, the mural will be painted on the side of the Emerald Arts Center in the heart of downtown Springfield.

The Syfy Network has made a name for itself over the years with fun, campy B-movies. Most of the time, these movies exist in a moment, they're enjoyed by a specific group of fans, and that's the end of it.

That wasn't the case with "Sharknado." Not by a long shot.

Buffalo opens its season at home on Thursday, Oct. 9, against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and then embarks on one of the season's busiest stretches, with 11 games scheduled over 22 days in October, and a four-game road trip from Oct. 22-28.
