Jack White returned to Artpark Sunday night for a stop on his "Supply Chain Issues Tour." The last time White performed at Artpark's Mainstage Theater was in 2018 and, while it is hard to imagine he could top that stellar 2018 performance, he did.

"C'est pas là, C'est par là (It's Not That Way, It's This Way!)," a site-specific interactive temporary art installation from France, will be held at 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 25-26, on Artpark's Gene Davis "Niagara 1979" "Painted Parking Lot" located in the lower park (South 4th St. entrance). Admission is free.

Artpark & Company presents the return of Plasticiens Volants from Toulouse, France, for the North American premiere of "Leonardo." The larger-than-life show will celebrate one of the greatest inventors of all time: Leonardo da Vinci. Guests will witness oversized, helium-filled, hand-painted inflatables depicting Leonardo's ideas, inventions and visions floating weightlessly above the audience and moving through the skies as the sun sets across the Niagara escarpment.

Artpark & Company is in the midst of its most robust season in recent history. From July 29 through Aug. 1, it will feature 12 events with both regional and internationally touring artists from the U.S. and Canada that are expected to attract more than 15,000 people to the state park.

Artpark & Company hosted the 12th annual Fairy House Festival last Saturday in Lewiston. Popular with both young and young-at-heart, the event has evolved from an art walk of miniature fairy houses installed by local and professional artists to an international, interdisciplinary and immersive performing arts festival with European street theater groups, modern dance, music and intricately costumed fairy performers.

It was three summers ago that Hibbard's Original Frozen Custard announced a partnership with acclaimed Toronto band The Barenaked Ladies. The end result was "Big Barenaked Bang," an original recipe made with ground coffee, chocolate coffee beans and semisweet chocolate bits.

A little over 20 years ago, I caught Flogging Molly performing at a small club in Rochester. I was a single, custodial dad of a couple of young sons, and one of them begged me to take him and his younger brother to the show on a school night.

Artpark & Company's Strawberry Moon Festival celebrated the indigenous cultures of the Western New York region through storytelling, music, dance, and arts and crafts on Saturday. Trombone Shorty brought Orleans Avenue and his "Voodoo Threauxdown" to Artpark's outdoor amphitheater Tuesday night. The "Harry Potter Film Concert Series" returns to the Artpark Mainstage Theater with "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert," the third film in the "Harry Potter" series. On July 9, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra is performing this magical score live while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen.

Artpark & Company has received a grant award totaling $49,500 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), part of an effort to support the recovery of the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Following New York state's $105 million investment in the arts for fiscal year 2022, NYSCA has awarded more than $80 million since June.
