Hochul signs legislation to combat bullying in schools across state

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the signing of the Jack Reid Law: Protect All Students Act, in recognition of the International Day Against Violence and Bullying at School. This bill aims to protect students attending private schools from bullying, discrimination or harassment when at school, online or at a school event. It also requires private schools to strengthen or develop clear antibullying policies and reporting procedures.
Niagara University honors Scott Bieler & Vincentian community at annual President's Dinner

Niagara University celebrated its students - and honored distinguished individuals who embody Niagara's mission within their communities - during the 2025 President's Dinner on Nov. 5 at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Proceeds from the President's Dinner benefit Niagara University's scholarship programs. This year's event raised $240,000 toward student scholarship assistance.

The Mason FOREVER Foundation was established in honor of Mason Sawyer Monteleone, an interdisciplinary health science major at the University of Florida in Tallahassee who tragically died in a car accident at the age of 21. He was interested in becoming a physician assistant or an orthopedic surgeon. He graduated from Canisius High School in Buffalo, and attended middle school at Lewiston-Porter.

Gov. Hochul announces $68M investment to support campus decarbonization project at UB

SUNY Niagara wins $862,000 National Science Foundation Grant to expand tech teaching

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded SUNY Niagara $862,062 to upgrade its industrial arts technology facilities. The college received this funding as the result of a nationally competitive grant process. It will support a project titled "Advanced Manufacturing Program Modernization to Better Prepare Future Technicians," which will run through August 2028.
