The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Phil Varone from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. The team also announced it has assigned defenseman Brayden McNabb and forward Kevin Porter to Rochester.

Tate Donovan will join the presidential cabinet of "24: Live Another Day" as White House chief of staff Mark Boudreau. "24: Live Another Day" debuts with a two-hour television premiere Monday, May 5 (8 p.m.), on FOX, and makes its time period premiere the following week on Monday, May 12 (9 p.m.).
