Record-breaking Sweet Charity for Food Bank of WNY

Approximately 936,000 meals will be provided to local families in need as a result of the 11th annual Sweet Charity to benefit the Food Bank of WNY. Presented by James Desiderio Wholesale Produce, this year's fundraiser raised a record-breaking $156,000. The proceeds will help the Food Bank provide an additional 100,000 meals as compared to last year's event.

"Get Out Your Guitar Day" is a national day that celebrates guitars and guitarists of all genres. UB: Poor and less educated suffer the most from chronic pain

Poorer and less-educated older Americans are more likely to suffer from chronic pain than those with greater wealth and more education, but the disparity between the two groups is much greater than previously thought, climbing as high as 370 percent in some categories, according to new research by a University at Buffalo medical sociologist.
