It is a banner year for farmer food donations all across the state. New York Farm Bureau members, along with the Feeding America New York State Food Banks, announced at Foodlink almost 9.6 million pounds of food and farm products have been donated by New York Farm Bureau members.
New York Film Student Alliance holds first summit

Empire State Development announced the first annual summit to promote the formation of the New York Film Student Alliance was held Saturday. The daylong event was held on two campuses - Ithaca College in the Finger Lakes and Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn - and attended by more than 200 students.
NYPA, SUNY complete Build Smart NY energy efficiency projects

The New York Power Authority announced it has completed comprehensive energy-efficiency projects at two State University of New York campuses - the University at Buffalo and Upstate Medical University - that will save a combined $1.4 million in annual energy costs for state taxpayers and remove more than 7,700 tons of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere every year.
