Sheriff Michael J. Filicetti announced Niagara County law enforcement agencies will participate in a special effort to bring awareness to the dangers of impaired driving. In a combined effort to stop impaired driving, prevent injuries, and save lives, law enforcement officers across New York will take to the roads. The statewide STOP-DWI high-visibility engagement campaign efforts start Friday, Aug. 19, and will end Monday, Sept. 5.

The new device has advanced technology to make it easier for the underwater team to locate a variety of articles when needed in certain situations and difficult conditions.

The New York Power Authority board of trustees on Tuesday approved the award of a competitively bid contract, valued up to $37,984,000, to REEL COH Inc. of Boisbriand, Canada, to fabricate, deliver and install a new gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 680 tons for the Power Authority's Niagara Power Project in Lewiston.

But with all COVID-19 restrictions lifted, and concert and event attendance rising - particularly outdoors - Kingdom Bound is a full-go, this weekend, for the first time since 2019.
