Congressman Chris Collins announced $82,488 in federal funding for two local fire companies: $65,315 will be allocated to Bergholz Volunteer Fire Co. in Niagara County, and $17,143 will be allocated to Bennington Volunteer Fire Co. in Wyoming County.

The Buffalo Sabres have announced the eighth annual Buffalo Sabres Foundation Golf Tournament, presented by J.W. Danforth, will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Wanakah Country Club in Hamburg. Registration for the tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m. with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start.
