Trustees in the Village of Lewiston took no action Tuesday on the State Environmental Quality Review Act process related to Ellicott Development's intent to build a 4.1-acre mixed-use plaza on Center, North Eighth and Onondaga streets. They did schedule a public hearing for 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, to review the traffic study prepared by SRF Associates for Ellicott Development.
Grand Island Fire Co.: Motor vehicle accidents continue to climb at record pace

Buffalo Sabres President Russ Brandon today officially announced Michael Gilbert has been promoted to the role of Buffalo Sabres vice president of administration and general manager of HarborCenter. Brandon also announced Chris Bandura will assume control of all media relations duties for the Sabres and Buffalo Bandits (NLL), and will be the primary media contact for the Sabres as director of media relations.
