Jury finds Buffalo man guilty for murdering victim during robbery outside of gas station in city's Delavan-Grider neighborhood

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced a jury has found 28-year-old Daiquin Gray of Buffalo guilty of one count of murder in the second degree (class "A-I" felony), one count of robbery in the first degree (class "B" violent felony), and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" violent felony). Jurors rendered their decision this afternoon after approximately two hours of deliberation following a four-day trial.

An $8.3 million project is in full swing to replace the nearly 70-year-old Beaver Island Parkway Bridge over the I-190 section of the Thruway. Since late March, crews and heavy equipment have been tearing down the old and making way for the new, while motorists who previously took Beaver Island Exit 18B have had to follow a detour to get home, to work or to businesses on the Island since April 3.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn on Wednesday announced 37-year-old Quinton D. Jones of Buffalo and 31-year-old Dijon C. Joyner of Buffalo pleaded guilty Tuesday before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of burglary in the third degree (class "D" felony). Both defendants pleaded guilty to the highest charge in full satisfaction of the charges against them.
