Community Missions to hold 13th annual Interfaith Community Prayer Service

Community Missions will once again present its annual Interfaith Community Prayer Service for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding. The event will take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church, 166 59th St., Niagara Falls.
13th annual Oktoberfest on Old Falls Street: Free event set for Saturday, Sept. 30

Old Falls Street USA will host the 13th Annual Oktoberfest from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, on the Convention Center block between First and Third streets. This fall tradition will feature live music, authentic German cuisine and beer, and kid-friendly activities. The German American Musicians will take the stage from 2-8 p.m.

Beginning Oct. 2, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will introduce expanded in-office podiatry clinics, facilitated by Dr. Michael Merletti, DPM. The clinics will be conducted from noon to 4 p.m. every other Monday within the general surgery office, "marking a strategic move to provide patients direct access to specialized podiatric care."

Tourism spending reaches $969 million in Niagara County for 2022

Earlier this month, the New York state-commissioned Tourism Economics research study for 2022 was released, detailing the economic impact of tourism across the state. The study revealed that the total traveler spend in Niagara County in 2022 reached $969 million, which is an increase of 16.5% relative to 2021.
