Niagara County Legislators Chris Robins and Chris McKimmie announced Niagara County will host a paint collection event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Veterans' Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara. Any latex- or oil-based paint in its original container can be accepted at no cost. Residents and businesses are allowed to bring up to 75 gallons of paint to the event.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced a Niagara County jury returned a guilty verdict in the case against Time Thomas Jr., age 30, of Buffalo, Tuesday morning. Thomas was found guilty of all 10 counts in the indictment against him, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, and drug possession charges.
