Lewiston Town Board tables final plat for French Landing

The Lewiston Town Board listened, deliberated and, following hesitation, acted on the French Landing subdivision eyed for the east side of Lower River Road in northern Lewiston. The Town Board opted to table its approval of a final plat planned for the project.
Summerfest returns to Porter on the Lake Park

Peach Queen contestants 'Dance Like a Star'

On Friday, Aug. 21, Dance Like a Star with Serge hosted the Niagara County Peach Queen Pageant contestants at the studio for a luau party. The contestants learned the cha-cha, rhumba and a few other steps. They danced with partners and were treated to performances by the professional dance staff.

Health dept. changes clinic hours

Effective Sept. 7, the days of the Niagara County Department of Health sexually transmitted disease/HIV clinic will change from Monday and Wednesday to Monday and Thursday. Clinic hours will continue to be 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic is located at the Trott Access Center, 1001 11th St., Niagara Falls.

Cote Memorial Ride benefits WNY Heroes

Nearly 200 participated in the seventh annual Jonathon Cote Memorial Motorcycle Ride & Fundraiser, held in Erie and Niagara counties Aug. 2. It is presented each year in memory of Cote, a U.S. Army veteran. He served in Middle East conflicts in the early 2000s and returned as a contractor to Iraq only to be held captive and later killed in 2008.
'Jazz Mass' at St. Peter's

Roemer won unanimous selection to fill the seat vacated by the Hon. Hugh B. Scott, who will continue to serve as a recall magistrate judge for the district.
