Niagara County Community College will close out a yearlong celebration of the 60th anniversary of its founding by hosting a free concert featuring Nerds Gone Wild on Aug. 11. College officials have billed the event "Niagara County's Biggest Birthday Party" as a nod to the region's continuous support of the college since its founding in 1962.

The New York Landmarks Conservancy announced 22 Sacred Sites Grants totaling $250,000 awarded to historic religious properties throughout New York - including $3,000 to St. John's Episcopal Church in Youngstown, to help fund roof and gutter repairs and foundation repointing.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's Primary Care Centers have achieved recertification for patient-centered medical home status by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for the period of July 12, 2023, to July 27, 2024. This recertification recognizes the systematic use of patient-centered, coordinated care management processes at each center.

More than 70 4-H youth and their families attended an animal safety meeting Wednesday night hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County (CCE-Niagara) and the Niagara County Agricultural Rights Advisory Panel. The meeting was to discuss the upcoming Niagara County Fair and the proper protocols for the 4-H youth to interact with the public in a way that keeps both fairgoers and the animals safe.
