Travel advisory: Scheduled closure of Niagara Scenic Parkway in Niagara Falls

The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the westbound Niagara Scenic Parkway will be closed in the City of Niagara Falls from the LaSalle Expressway to Buffalo Avenue on Tuesday, May 9, to facilitate paving. The closure will be in place from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists traveling westbound should follow the posted detour.
Catholic Health consultants experience data breach

MDS is in the process of notifying the residents, their family members, or other responsible party.

At Monday's Village of Lewiston work session, Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce President Jennifer Pauly petitioned local leaders to keep the International Peace Garden open year-round. She was joined by Chuck Barber, who owns the adjoining "Big Yellow House" on Ridge Street; and his tenant, Brooke Unversaw, who operates Queen B's Cottage inside that building.
Lewiston Porter Youth Football to set up shop at former board room inside Red Brick

The 2023-24 enacted state budget provides the New York Power Authority (NYPA) with new authority to develop, own and operate renewable energy-generating projects - either alone or in collaboration with other entities - to assist the state in meeting its clean energy targets, including producing 70% of the state's electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and creating a zero-emission statewide electrical system by 2040.

Memorial Day committee working on May event
