Brittany Mezhir receives Lewiston Lions Scholarship Award

Brittany Mehzir, a Lewiston-Porter High School graduating senior, was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Lewiston Community Lions Tuesday. Lion Sheila Zuhlke was present at the awards luncheon to present Mezhir with a check.

The Niagara Wine Trail is celebrating its seventh annual Niagara USA Wine Festival at Lewiston's Academy Park. This year's event takes place from noon until 7 p.m. Saturday, July 25, and from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 26.
Ortt, VFW dedicate sign for Youngstown veterans

State Sen. Robert Ortt and members of the VFW Lake Ontario Post 313 in Youngstown honored and memorialized all Youngstown veterans who have served overseas with a sign along Route 93/Lockport Road. The sign designates a portion of Route 93 as the "Youngstown Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Highway."
