The online auction conducted by Buffalo-based Auctions International, begins at noon Monday, April 10, and will continue until Tuesday, April 25, with the sale starting to close at 10 a.m.

Bringing his knowledge and experience in the theater, along with strong leadership and management skills, Bill Patti was selected as the next executive director of the Kenan Center. Patti officially began his duties on March 13, taking the time to learn about the operations of the nonprofit, meeting with staff and transitioning with Susan Przybyl, the former executive director who retired on March 31 after almost 25 years.

Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh announced Niagara County is partnering with Niagara University and GreenSheen to host a paint recycling event on Saturday, April 15. Congressman Brian Higgins secured $2 million in the federal 2023 budget to expand and improve telehealth services for Western New York senior citizens, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and people with Alzheimer's. The funding will support People Inc.'s model addressing health equity among vulnerable populations.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Matthew H. Figura plead guilty to the murder of Patrick M. DeLuca this morning in County Court. Figura admitted to killing DeLuca, age 36, of Niagara Falls on June 3, 2021, at Niagara Metals in Niagara Falls, where both were employed.

This year's Bruce Sutherland Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Monday, May 15, at the Niagara Frontier Golf Club at 1058 Lake Road in Youngstown. The tournament is open to the public. Funds raised will go to the Historical Association and the Lewiston Museum, in addition to the VFW Downriver Post 7487 scholarship fund - two local causes Sutherland volunteered and worked for in the past.
