Tops celebrates 31st year helping JDRF find a cure for Type 1 diabetes

Tops Friendly Markets is once again partnering with JDRF as it embark on a 54th year to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). This year, the campaign will begin Sunday, Feb. 25, and run through Saturday, March 16. The goal is to raise money to help fund research toward finding a cure for T1D.

Mark Talley, whose mother, Geraldine Talley, was one of the 10 African Americans killed during the May 14, 2022, mass shooting at Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, will speak about how that tragic event motivated him to launch his nonprofit organization, Agents for Advocacy, during a presentation hosted by Niagara University's Vincentian Center for Justice in coordination with the Niagara University Black Student Union, the Intercultural Engagement Center, and the Peace & Justice Studies Association.
