Tis' the season
Christmas trees were lit Friday night in downtown Niagara Falls and in the Village of Lewiston.
On Saturday, the annual Lewiston Christmas Walk began with Santa Claus flying into Academy Park on a Rainbow Air heli-sleigh. St. Nick greeted children before boarding a Deal Realty-roller float down Center Street and into the International Peace Garden. There, he listened intently as young kids shared their holiday wishes with him - and shared a few Santa-selfies, too.
The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce, Village of Lewiston Recreation Department and the Lewiston Kiwanis Club Peach Queen court assisted Santa throughout the day.
