Carol Calato and Richard Soluri are ready to kiss the summer hello.
The Historic Lewiston Jazz Festival board chairwoman posed Tuesday with Lewiston's former mayor - the man largely responsible for the festival's creation - inside Water Street Landing. Proprietor Jacqueline DiBernardo, standing, welcomed them to the site of "Jazz & Pasta."
The festival fundraiser is set for Sunday, April 24, at the waterfront restaurant. From 1-6 p.m., guests can enjoy an assortment of foods and lots of local jazz music, including performances by Lori Bordonaro, Tony Zambito, Luke Ciminelli and Ron Corsaro. "Jazz & Pasta" also offers a large basket auction, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
The Jazz Festival board will make an exclusive announcement at the fundraiser, revealing the headlining acts for the 15th annual event.
Tickets for "Jazz & Pasta" are $20 in advance or $25 the day of the event. Presale tickets are available at the Red Brick Municipal Building, the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce office, the Artpark box office, at Niagara Frontier Publications and online at www.Lewistonjazz.com.
