The Niagara History Center will present an inspiring lecture by Barb Warner Deane titled “Women of World War II: On the Front Lines and Home Front” at 3 p.m. March 25. This event will be held at the History Center’s main campus at 215 Niagara St., Lockport, and is free to attend.

Deane, a seasoned historian and author, will highlight the crucial roles women played during World War II. From serving in military positions to supporting the war effort back home, women’s contributions were essential to both the battlefield and the home front.

Following the lecture, Deane will be selling copies of her 2017 book, “On the Homefront,” which explores the experiences of women during this transformative period in history.

The public is invited to attend for an engaging afternoon that will honor the strength, resilience and determination of women during the second World War. The program will offer guests an opportunity to learn more about remarkable women who helped shape history.
