Vehicle-pedestrian crash in Niagara Falls

On March 7, at approximately 8:12 pm, the Niagara Falls Police Department crash investigation unit responded to the 2100 block of Hyde Park Blvd to investigate a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

A 2012 Buick operated by a 41-year-old Niagara Falls man was traveling south on Hyde Park Boulevard in the right-hand lane when it struck a pedestrian crossing from the east side of the street. The 30-year-old female suffered severe head injuries and was transported by AMR ambulance to Erie County Medical Center where she is currently being treated in the trauma ICU.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and is cooperating with the crash investigation unit as it continues the review of the crash.
