SUNY Niagara announces faculty promotions

SUNY Niagara President Lloyd Holmes announced this week that 10 faculty members have advanced in their careers at the college. Four faculty members received a promotion from instructor to assistant professor:

√ Raymond Boucher of the arts, humanities, and social sciences division

√ Lindsey Bax of the nursing, physical and allied health division

√ Michele Burke of the nursing, physical and allied health division

√ Andrew Aquino of the Lewis Library

Three members of the humanities, and social sciences division advanced from assistant professor to associate professor:

√ Pamela Lange

√ Marissa Pytlak-Surdyke

√ Christina Taylor

Lindsay Rose of the business and STEM division advanced from the rank of associate professor to professor.

In addition to their promotions, Aquino, Boucher and Burke also received tenure, along with Melissa Moore of the business and STEM division and Seana Sullivan of the hospitality, baking and culinary art division.

“These exceptionally talented members of our faculty set the standard of academic excellence each day,” Holmes said. “I am pleased to recognize their unwavering commitment to student success and their contributions to our campus community.
