The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce honored businesses and individuals at its annual Chamber Awards Gala on Friday at The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls.

The evening is one of the highlights of the year, held to celebrate the business community and the citizens who help contribute to the success of the region.

The annual awards gala began with a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres, and then a sit-down dinner was served during and following the awards program. A silent auction took place throughout the evening, with $10,000 worth of donated items up for grabs.

Chamber President Jennifer Pauly served as mistress of ceremonies. Chamber employees Suzanne Raby and Christina Crane assisted in presenting awards.

A moment of silence was held for the late Sandy Tuck, who passed shortly her family business, Sanger Farms & Bakery, was named Youngstown Business of the Year. The audience gave her, and her family, a standing ovation.
