Fri, Mar 31st 2017 07:20 pm

Town of Niagara Councilman Sam Gatto has announced his bid for the town justice seat.

"Long standing and well respected Justice John P. Teixeira is retiring, leaving a vacancy in our town court system," Gatto said.

"It is my desire to become the next town justice to continue serving in this honorable and respectable position with the same integrity and sense of responsibility set forth by the current and former justices. My sole interest is to make sure that the town's laws and ordinances are adhered to maintaining a peaceful, lawful, and respectful way of life for its residents."

Gatto is a lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara. He was raised in Belden Center and moved to Creekside Parkway at the age of 13 with his family. He has resided on Isherwood Drive with his wife, Judy, for 29 years where they raised their two daughters, Sara and Jacquelyn. Gatto has been employed at the Saint-Gobain Ceramics Co. for the past 30 years.
