Tickets available now for Northwest Jazz Festival fundraiser

The popular "Jazz & Pasta" fundraiser is just around the corner - and has been expanded and renamed "A Taste of Jazz" for 2017.

This year, the event not only has a new name, but a new time. It will take place from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at Water Street Landing, 115 S. Water St.

The Northwest Jazz Festival, Lewiston, NY, board of directors invites all jazz enthusiasts to sample not only a taste of unique food at this fundraiser, but also to listen to some jazz music. New music coordinator Tony Zambito has arranged performances by the Jacob Jay Quintet, Carina and the Six String Preacher, and My Cousin Toné.

Susan Reinhardt, fundraiser chairwoman, is encouraging everyone to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets will include an array of food generously contributed by some of the area's top restaurants. The evening will also feature a basket auction, a 50-50 split and a cash bar.

Purchase tickets ($20 in advance or $25 day of the event) at the Red Brick Municipal Building and Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce offices in Lewiston, online at www.LewistonJazz.com, or by calling 716-754-9500.

All proceeds will be used to produce the free, two-day Jazz Festival on Aug. 25-26.
