The Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas held a ribbon cutting on Feb. 15 at DD Sewing & Embroidery in North Tonawanda.

DD Sewing & Embroidery began in Lewiston in 2012, offering custom, handmade merchandise. The company's creations are in-house designs and customizable. It also offers a full range of embroidery, digital designing, quilting, alteration and repair services.

Last June, the company moved to its current location at 305 Robinson Road. The additional space allows for a new vinyl heat press, screen printing and sublimation services.

Those present for the ribbon-cutting event included Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas Executive Director Angela R. Johnson-Renda, chamber board members Beverly Loxterman and Deb Jaeger, North Tonawanda mayoral administrative assistant Peter Drossos and Niagara County Legislator Richard Andres.

A basket raffle is being held at the store to support Niagara Hospice. Tickets are three for $1, 10 for $5, and 20 for $10. The final drawing will take place March 12.
