City of North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas and his wife, Linda, will host the eighth annual Mayor's Charity Snowflake Ball from 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Knights of Columbus, 755 Erie Avenue, North Tonawanda.

The event, a tradition started in 2010 by New York State Sen. Robert G. Ortt (former NT mayor) and his wife, Meghan, will feature a night of music, food and cocktails.

This year, the event will benefit the American Legion Stephen Sikora Post No. 1322. This will not only benefit veterans, but many local organizations and causes as well, including Cradle Beach Camp, Pioneer Camp & Retreat Center, Camp Good Days & Special Times, NT Police Club, North Tonawanda National Little League and Niagara Hospice. It also includes two scholarships for North Tonawanda High School seniors.

Reservations for the event are encouraged.

To make a separate donation, call the mayor's office at 716-695-8540.
