Town of Wilson Bicentennial Committee representatives John Sinclair and Francis Gallagher presented awards to the finalists of the town's 2018 logo contest at the Wilson Town Board meeting held on Jan. 18. Artists were asked to present designs to reflect the historical nature of the town over its 200-year history. Fifteen entries were received.

Winner Katie Johnston was unable to attend due to her traveling to Washington for a class trip. Johnston's mother was on hand to accept her first-place $250 cash award. Tied for second were local artists Tristan Kam and Julie Branch, who were each awarded $125.
