The woman whose vehicle struck and killed two teen pedestrians on Shawnee Road in August was found not guilty of reckless driving last week.
Twenty-year-old Carly Marrs of North Tonawanda was convicted of imprudent speed and unlawful possession of marijuana.
In the early morning hours of Aug. 20, Marrs' vehicle hit three pedestrians. Melanie J. Aronow, age 18, of Amherst and Quience Harper, age 18, of Lockport, died at the scene. The third pedestrian, Quincy Bird, age 20, of Lockport, suffered injuries.
At the time of the crash, a party at a nearby residence was taking place and cars were parked on both sides of the roadway.
Testing completed by the Niagara County Sheriff Office's forensic lab have indicated Marrs was not impaired by marijuana or alcohol.
Marrs is scheduled for sentencing Feb. 8.
