See one of the greatest movie musicals of all time on the big screen

Regal Entertainment Group, a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating one of the largest theatre circuits in the U.S., announced that, in honor of Debbie Reynolds' legacy, "Singin' in the Rain 65th Anniversary" will be expanding the number of participating theaters to give audiences a chance to see her breakout role in the 1952 classic film.

"Singin' in the Rain 65th Anniversary" will be in Regal Cinemas across the country on Sunday, Jan. 15, and Wednesday, Jan. 18.

"Debbie Reynolds left an indelible mark on Hollywood," said Ray Nutt, senior VP business relations at Regal Entertainment Group. "Her distinguished work will live on, and we want to give moviegoers another chance to view one of her most renowned leading roles, as Kathy Selden in 'Singin' in the Rain.' "

Gene Kelly, Reynolds and Donald O'Connor star in this, one of the greatest musicals ever filmed. Musician Don Lockwood (Kelly) rises to stardom during Hollywood's silent-movie era - paired with the beautiful, jealous and dumb Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen). When Lockwood becomes attracted to young studio singer Kathy Selden (Reynolds), Lamont has her fired. But with the introduction of talking pictures, audiences laugh when they hear Lockwood speak for the first time - and the studio uses Selden to dub her voice.

"Singin' in the Rain 65th Anniversary" kicks off the yearlong "Big Screen Classics" series and is presented by Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies. Ben Mankiewicz, TCM host, will provide special content before and after "Singin' in the Rain 65th Anniversary."

There will be four showings of "Singin' in the Rain 65th Anniversary" on Sundays and Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time. For a full list of locations, as well as purchasing tickets, visit http://regmovi.es/2jctZCJ.
