Niagara County has reactivated foreign trade zone No. 34. To find out what this means for area businesses or trade partners, the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency along with the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce, will host a free symposium at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Vantage Center, 6311 Inducon Corporate Drive, Sanborn.

The organizations will host officials from FTZ No. 34, as well as representatives from Global New York, a new initiative launched by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that offers one-stop shopping to both foreign businesses looking to invest in New York and to local businesses who want to export globally.

They will be presenting ways in which the FTZ can help a business and grow a bottom line. There will also be information on New York state programs that can assist a company with additional exporting support through grants and/or technical assistance.

There will be a light breakfast and networking before the presentations. To attend this event, RSVP to Elena Woods at [email protected] or 716-285‐9141. Seating is limited.
