New owners and management company close hotel for reopening in April as Niagara Crossing Hotel & Spa

The new owners of the Barton Hill Hotel & Spa have closed the hotel. Under management by Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Co., the property will re-open on April 1 as the Niagara Crossing Hotel & Spa.

Capital and cosmetic improvements will be made during the winter months, some of which will be visible to guests; most of the changes will be behind-the-scenes upgrades to improve service and operating efficiencies.

Coakley & Williams said the hotel is best known as the Village of Lewiston's "go-to" property for weddings and social events, as well as small meetings and overnight stays. It attracts visitors from across the nation and the world who tour Niagara Falls seeking quiet, upscale, affordable accommodations away from the chaos of the larger tourist areas.

Niagara Crossing's management team is supervising the makeover and will be staffing up in late March to prepare for the grand re-opening of the 68-room hotel.

Director of sales Nicole McCoy continues to accept individual and group reservations and event bookings for arrival April 1 and beyond.
