Mount Mary's Hospital is fortunate to have several groups with dozens of community volunteers working year-round to raise funds for the hospital.

The board of associates and the St. Francis Guild are two such groups. They each conduct an array of events throughout the year. Earlier this month, both groups presented checks from their efforts to the Mount St. Mary's Foundation.

Funds have been dedicated to help provide a new labor and delivery suite in the Center for Women to better accommodate growing maternity services, a 3D mammography unit that will add to the Mount St. Mary's Breast Care Center, and a new patient monitoring system for the hospital's third floor medical-surgical unit.

In the photo, the board of associates provided $23,000. The St. Francis Guild provided a check for $55,000. In the photo, from left, Tucker, guild President Maureen Sheeran, First Vice President Jean Rosenberg, Second Vice President Janet Furlong, Berrigan; guild Treasurer Rosemary Dann and Ieraci.
