What better way to get into the holiday spirit than with a little decorating?
The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual storefront display contest. Participants had the opportunity to bring their holiday magic to light with their own festive creations in the storefront windows of their businesses.
The winners of the storefront display are, from Lewiston: first-place Hurtin 4 Curtains, 469 Center St.; second-place The Country Doctor, 549 Center St.; and third-place You & Me Boutique, 467 Center St.
Chamber of Commerce Sales and Marketing Manager Christina Crane said, "All the participants had such beautiful displays; all unique and charming with plenty of holiday spirit. The judges were very impressed with all the contestants and had a difficult time deciding on a winner."
Judge Sandra Lahrache said, "There was so much effort and creativity to so many of the windows; it was very difficult to decide which one I enjoyed the most!"
Among other prizes, Niagara Frontier Publications will give advertising gift certificates for the winners ($200 for first, $150 for second, and $100 for third).
