The Hideaway Grille at 399 Division St., North Tonawanda, has recently undergone renovations to make the space, "A little more up to date, but still the same feel, same atmosphere," owner Lorrie May said.
The former outdoor patio area of the business was removed and, in its place, a new space is often used for parties.
"We really didn't get a lot of use out of (the patio) and we needed the space, so we decided to close it in," May said.
She noted windows were installed on the outer walls of the space, which extends from the bar area, to still give an outdoor feel in the summertime.
Other renovations included new paint, flooring and a new stonewall feature in one of the dining rooms.
May, and her husband, Ed, have owned and operated the Hideaway Grille for nearly 17 years.
"We have a lot of regulars, so it's really warm and inviting and it's always been that way," May said.
The Hideaway Grille offers American-style food for lunch and dinner. Friday fish fries and prime rib meals on Saturday are its specialties.
Four or five specials are offered daily, May said, and "Everything is homemade. We do everything from scratch."
