The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center invites the public to visit its artists and friends holiday party on Saturday, Dec. 10. This event will feature local artists and aims to celebrate all the 75 artists that are housed in the NACC as well as other outside art contributors.

The NACC is one of the largest multi-arts centers in America and continues to grow year after year. It features over 60 artist studios and is home to numerous artists.

"The preservation of our building, the programs we offer, the gallery shows, and the concerts are all based on ideas and support from the Niagara Falls community," said Kelly Lang Buckley, NACC director of development and marketing.

This event is free of charge and open to the public. It opens at 4 p.m. with a membership meeting and follows with the artists and friends exhibit starting at 5 p.m. and continuing until 8 p.m.

Long-time volunteer Louis Townsend will be honored and will have the first floor main gallery named after him.

The public is welcome to come and browse the artwork, and there will also be prizes awarded to some of the artists showing their works. Lang Buckley commented that typically 40 artists are showcased in the exhibit. Any artist interested in submitting artwork is welcome to participate and can email [email protected] for any inquiries.

The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center is located at 1201 Pine Ave., in Niagara Falls. It is open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday to Sunday.

The NACC will also hold a volunteer mixer from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the Artisan Café, located in the NACC. Open to visitors, the mixer is yet another good event out at the NACC this holiday season.
