Buffalo Sabres: Game-worn jersey auction running until Dec. 11

The Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday announced the team is holding a game-worn jersey auction that is running on sabres.com/auction until 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

The jerseys available for bidding include set three of the game-worn home jerseys from the 2015-16 season, highlighted by Jack Eichel and Ryan O'Reilly. All jerseys will come with a certificate of authenticity.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a New York state not-for-profit corporation, qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualified as a public charity. The Buffalo Sabres Foundation was established in 1995 and reinvigorated in 2011 following the acquisition of the Buffalo Sabres by Terry and Kim Pegula.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation mission statement reads: "To identify and support local organizations which share our core objectives: serving children and military personnel, caring for the sick, assisting physically and mentally challenged athletes, and supporting youth hockey initiatives. By utilizing financial resources and community influence, the Buffalo Sabres Foundation assists these organizations and their beneficiaries in realizing their highest potential and succeeding in their endeavors."
