Tuesday, Nov. 29; NBCSN to join Toronto-Edmonton in progress following coverage of Bruins-Flyers

NBCSN has added an NHL game to its schedule that will feature two of the league's top young superstars, when 2016 No.1 overall pick Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs visit 2015 No. 1 overall pick Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

NBCSN will join Maple Leafs-Oilers in progress (circa 10 p.m. ET) immediately following originally scheduled coverage of Bruins-Flyers at 7:30 p.m. ET.

This is the second game this season that NBCSN has added to its original schedule of a record 106 NHL regular-season games. Following Matthews' four-goal outburst in his NHL debut, NBCSN added the Maple Leafs' home opener against Boston on Oct. 15.

The 19-year-old Matthews, a native of Scottsdale, Arizona, is currently tied for second in the NHL among rookies in goals (6) and ranks third among rookies in points (11).

McDavid is currently tied for second in the NHL in points (17), and tied for the league lead in assists (12). The 19-year-old McDavid is in the midst of his second NHL season, and has averaged better than a point per game (65 points in 59 games) thus far in his career.

The Oilers currently lead the Pacific Division with a 9-4-1 record.

This marks the second matchup between McDavid and Matthews this season. Matthews' Maple Leafs won the first matchup between the two first overall picks on Nov. 1 in Toronto by a score of 3-2 in overtime.
