The Lewiston Kiwanis Club announced Mark Briglio was recently installed as the president of the club for 2016-17. He previously served as the vice president and president-elect.

Briglio lives in the Town of Lewiston with his wife, Marlo, and his three daughters: Marissa, Gianna and Nina. He was the deputy supervisor in the Town of Lewiston in 2015 and currently manages a local company in Niagara Falls called Harris Computer Systems. He is also a licensed real estate agent in New York and works for Realty USA in Lewiston.

Briglio is a member of St. Peter's parish in Lewiston and is also active with Divine Mercy Parish in Niagara Falls. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends when not donating his time and services for the less-fortunate.

"I am honored to represent the Kiwanis membership and our community as the newly elected president of the Lewiston Kiwanis," Briglio said. "The club's continued involvement reaches a local and worldwide audience, and is made up of our active members, our families and friends. Without their support, we would not have the great club we have now.

"Being a Kiwanian is a way of giving back to the community and being able to make a difference to all. Our club is lifted up by all the active members. My praise and respect go to them for entrusting me to be their president during the 2016-17 year."

As president, Briglio will be tasked with leading the club's participation in projects that benefit the community. His duties will include facilitating club meetings and activities, building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, and increasing club membership.

The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston, with more than 105 men and women, is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization serving one community and one child at a time.
