AAA hosting job fair in Buffalo

AAA Western and Central New York is hosting a job fair this week for candidates interested in roadside assistance and truck driver positions, as well as customer service representative positions.

The event will take place from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday at 100 International Drive (at Sheridan Drive), Williamsville.

Roadside assistance driver performs tire service/change, lockout service, fuel service, battery replacement, etc., as necessary; provides other minor repairs (e.g., battery cable, fuse or relay replacement, ignition/starter), when appropriate, to make the vehicle drivable; and provides more advanced, permanent repairs (e.g., alternators, electrical sensors, hoses, belts), when appropriate, to make the vehicle drivable.

A tow truck driver ensures member safety and vehicle security; educates members on possible issues; provides boost, jump starts, flat tire replacement and vehicle entry; tows disabled vehicles to repair facilities or other member-requested destinations; promotes AAA/CAA products and services and ensure complete resolution of member issues; locates members and assesses the safety of the scene on arrival to ensure the vehicle is in a safe location to provide service so as not to endanger the member or traveling companions; and provides efficient minor mechanical assistance and towing service

A customer service representative processes information received on service requests and dispatches calls using a range of communication methods; deploys service resources available to best meet member needs, and to optimize efficient use of those resources; and monitors status of calls and initiates action to solve problems and to provide timely, quality service to members.
