Tri-Community Ambulance basket auction slated for Sunday

The Tri-Community Ambulance will be holding its 14th annual basket auction on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Sanborn firehall at 5811 Buffalo St. The event will begin at noon and drawings will take place at 5 p.m.

Over 150 prizes, including baskets, gifts and certificates will be featured. Participants do no need to be present to win.

There will also be large-ticket items to be won, including a 50-inch television and an iPad. There will also be a 50/50 split and side raffles throughout the day.

Admission is $5 and includes 25 auction tickets, a door prize ticket and a free dessert. Extra auction tickets will be available for purchase. The junior members will be selling food during the event, also.

Tri-Community Ambulance is a 100-percent volunteer organization and does not receive funding from the government. It has been serving the communities of Wheatfield, Lewiston and Cambria since 1956. It also provides ambulance service for the Bergholz, St. Johnsburg, Sanborn and Pekin fire companies and handles over 1,200 calls per year.
