Rivershore Foundation's annual gala to benefit individuals living with disabilities

The Rivershore Foundation will host its annual gala dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Niagara Falls Country Club, 505 Mountain View Drive, Lewiston. The event includes a cocktail reception, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, awards ceremony, silent auction and basket raffle.

Joseph A. Ruffolo, president and CEO of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, will serve as the honorary chairperson of this event. Maryalice Demler of WGRZ-TV Channel 2 will serve as the emcee.

The evening's entertainment will be performed by Artisan's Edge, a group of talented artists living with disabilities, supported by Rivershore since 2011. Artisan's Edge includes musicians, vocalists, actors, painters, sculptors, potters and mixed-media artists. The artists have received many awards, including placing on three separate occasions at the renowned Lewiston Art Festival, and at the NYSACRA Art show in Albany.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Rivershore's programs and services. An affiliate of People Inc., Rivershore supports people living with disabilities as they pursue and achieve a meaningful life.
