Megan Rogers of Lewiston is the recipient of the $500 2016 Zonta Club of Niagara Falls (New York) Jane M. Klausman Woman in Business Scholarship. Rogers, a junior in Niagara University's College of Business, was chosen because of her outstanding leadership ability, commitment to the community, entrepreneurial spirit, outstanding academic record, and for her passion to be engaged in serving others locally and globally.

Rogers is pictured here with the scholarship and awards evaluation committee: Linda Salvatore, Bonnie Weidert and Dr. Kyle Patterson (president of the Zonta Club of Niagara Falls).

Zonta International is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship Program is one of many programs for women and girls sponsored by Zonta International. The scholarships are funded by voluntary contributions to the Zonta International Foundation.

In the second photo, Patterson congratulates Gabby Capton, who earned a certificate as recipient of the 2016 Young Woman Stem Camper Award. Gabby is a ninth-grade student at Niagara-Wheatfield High School. She and her sister, Faith, attended the Niagara University/National Grid Girls STEM Camp in August thanks to a Zonta Club award.
