Obit: Mary Lorraine 'Lorry' Kehoe

Mary Lorraine "Lorry" Kehoe passed away Jan. 22, 2016.

Lorry had been a Grand Island resident since 1960. She was a graduate of Kenmore West High School and Sisters Hospital School of Nursing. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. Lorry was an active member of the Sandy Beach Yacht Club and the Bridgeview Garden Club. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Stephen R.C. Church. She and her late husband, Jack, along with their five children and many friends, enjoyed vacations in Long Beach, Crystal Beach, Canada and Florida.

As a registered nurse, she worked at Kenmore Mercy Hospital for almost 40 years and, at the time of her retirement, was a department head.

As a breast cancer survivor, she was an advocate for others as part of the Breast Cancer Association. She was also credited with assisting in saving the lives of several local accident victims.

She was the wife of the late John A. "Jack" Kehoe Sr.; mother of Patricia (Douglas) Harding, Maureen (Steven) Toth, John A. Kehoe Jr., Colleen (Peter) Romano and James S. (Michelle) Kehoe; grandmother of Daniel Harding, Kari (Daniel) Klos, Kristen (Joseph) Lee, Peter (Cyndy) Montana, Tammy Iannello, Joshua Kehoe, Angie (Justin) Nesbitt; Vincent, Marissa and Samuel Romano; Kellie and Jacgueline Kehoe. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Katherine Hastins.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Stephen R.C. Church, 2100 Baseline Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or Wings Flights of Hope.
