Multiplatinum, Grammy-Award winning Casting Crowns releases new album, 'The Very Next Thing'

TV special airs on TBN - 'Casting Crowns Presents: The Very Next Thing'

Multiplatinum-selling and Grammy-winning group Casting Crowns releases their eighth studio album, "The Very Next Thing," today.

The album is full of intimate songs, as well as upbeat, fresh-sounding tracks designed to meet the listener with lyrics that impact with a strong message song after song. Casting Crowns continues to deliver songs with messages that are resonating with their fans, as they have surpassed 10 million albums in sales and are Billboard's top-selling act in Christian music since 2007.

The band will premiere songs from the anticipated release tonight in a TV special - "Casting Crowns Presents: The Very Next Thing" - airing on TBN at 10 p.m. ET. The special was taped in Nashville in front of a live audience, with special guests Natalie Grant, Bernie Herms and Matthew West. It's hosted by K-LOVE personality Scott Smith.

Supporting the upcoming release, Casting Crowns will hit the road this month for "The Very Next Thing" tour presented by Compassion International and Museum of the Bible. The tour will feature label mate Matt Maher and special guest newcomer Hannah Kerr. Check the tour dates HERE.

"The Very Next Thing" has already received praise from media outlets. Casting Crowns graces the new CCM Magazine cover that releases today.

Casting Crowns has achieved sales milestones including one RIAA two-times-multi-platinum album, four RIAA platinum albums, two RIAA platinum DVDs, seven RIAA gold albums, four gold DVDs, one RIAA platinum-certified single and five RIAA gold-certified digital singles. 

The band has also been honored with four American Music Awards (out of seven total nominations), a Grammy for its 2005 album, "Lifesong," and six Grammy nominations. In addition, the group has garnered 17 GMA Dove Awards and two Billboard Music Awards from 11 total Billboard Music Award nominations.

Casting Crowns' seven band members all remain active in student ministry in the Atlanta area and tour according to their local church commitments.
