Assemblyman John Ceretto releases the following statement Friday:
"On Sunday, Sept. 11, I will be pausing my campaign to reflect on the tragedy our nation experienced 15 years ago. This is not a time for politics; it's a time for remembrance.
"The victims and their families will forever hold a special place in our hearts, as well as the first responders and volunteers who sacrificed so much. As a member of the Lewiston No. 2 firehall, I stand with firemen across the state to honor our fallen heroes who didn't return home that day.
"In our darkest hour, we have shown great resilience, unity and compassion, and 15 years later we remain strong."
