Mill and overlay project to begin on stretch from Transit to Borden Road

The Erie County Department of Public Works' Highways Division announced late last week that road resurfacing work is set to begin today on Losson Road in Cheektowaga.

Mill and overlay operations will be conducted on the stretch of Losson Road from Transit to approximately 150 feet west of Borden Road, a distance of .65 miles. The project will include the milling and removal of the top 3.5 inches of road surface, which will be replaced with a 2-inch binder and a 1.5-inch topcoat with a protective polymer additive.

Local businesses were notified of the impending project earlier last week. Traffic was expected to be minimally impacted during the project, which is expected to take about a week, weather-permitting.
