On Friday, Aug. 26, the Aquarium of Niagara will hold its second "Friday Night Lights" extravaganza. The venue will open its doors at 9 a.m. and will keep them open until 10 p.m. One admission fee lets you come and go as many times as you want on Aug. 26. Be sure, though, to make it back by 10 p.m., because the upstairs deck offers a perfect viewing area for the fireworks over Niagara Falls.
Walk through the Aquarium of Niagara, see the exhibits, watch the shows and experience the fun in a different light.
"The aquarium is going through a tremendous growth resurgence and we want everyone to see what we have that's just right for you," Executive Director Gary Siddall said. "Starting at 6 p.m., there will be drinks and food for sale by the Culinary Arts Institute at Niagara Falls, music by Peter Green and Brian Beaudry, contests, raffles, an added sea lion show and touch tanks and so much more. Keeping the aquarium open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. makes this an ideal setting for family and friendly gatherings."
Admission on Aug. 26 is the same as it is all year long: $13 for adults and $9 for children. The New York State Park's Discover Pass is also welcome. Members enter free of charge.
The Aquarium of Niagara is located at 701 Whirlpool St., Niagara Falls. For more information, visitwww.aquariumofniagara.org.
